More about Michelle:

Michelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor- Supervisor (LPC-S) in the Texas State Board of Examiners. She sees clients in individual, group, child/adolescent, and family therapy. Michelle uses art and play in her therapy sessions and has brought her art to the community through art classes, parties, and camps for people of all ages! Michelle started her art program during COVID-19 to bring art experiences to children, teens, and adults of all ages.  Her summer camps brought education and positive experiences during a difficult time. They were so successful she moved on to offering art classes, private lessons, and parties for all types of people. She found a way to merge her art and counseling into one pretty package!

She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio and has been a counselor since 1999 and became licensed in 2006. She is also an approved Supervisor to coach the next generation of LPCs in Texas. Michelle is also a certified therapeutic art therapy life coach and uses play and art therapy in her practice.

Michelle works with clients/artists who are actively looking to resolve their problems with her assistance, as she believes that as people become more accepting of themselves, they are more capable of finding happiness and contentment in their lives.  Michelle helps her clients/artists find self-awareness and self-acceptance of their goals.  Michelle helps to make her clients/artists, feel that they are able to face life’s challenges in the future without anyone's support or intervention.

Currently Michelle's practice is geared at all ages.  She works virtually and in person supporting clients.   Michelle has worked with diagnoses such as ADHD, OCD, OCC, ASD, eating disorders, personality disorders, couples counseling, family counseling, parenting, grief and loss, and trauma. Michelle has experience working in residential treatment centers, PHP, IOP, in-home crisis counseling, crisis drop-in centers, school-based counseling, and private practice.
