November 14th begins the Hindu Festival of Lights known as Diwali (or Deepavali).  It spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness.  As Jews, we look forward to our own Festival of Lights, Hanukkah, which begins December 10th.  Join Rabbi Steven Morgen and speakers from Hindu Swayamsevek Sangh Houston as we learn more about each holiday.

As part of our program, we will provide our friends at Hindu Swayamsevek Sangh Houston with some Hanukkah treats to enjoy, and they will provide us with some traditional Diwali treats.  When you register for the program, please indicate if you are interested in participating (you will need to pick up your Diwali treats at Beth Yeshurun).
