Mazel tov to our Bar Mitzvah, Gavin Maislos, son of Hayley and Gabriel Maislos, brother of Isabel, grandson of Elaine Freedman Epstein, Dr. Steven Epstein, Judith and Francisco Maislos, and great-grandson of Sylvia Freedman. Gavin will be in 7th grade at the Emery Weiner School, where he plays football and basketball. Outside of school, Gavin plays AAU basketball on the Push Sharks, loves watching and attending all sporting events, hanging out with friends and family, and spending his summers at Camp Ojibwa in Wisconsin. For his mitzvah project, Gavin volunteered with Coach Weiser’s Sports Stars class, assisting physically and intellectually disabled adults in learning basketball and soccer skills. He is participating in the Rabbi’s Ten Percent Plan by giving to The Jewish Federation Support for Israel Fund.
