Mazel tov to our Bat Mitzvah, Sophia Quinn Bush, daughter of Joanne and Grayson Bush; sister of Siena; granddaughter of Abby and Garrett Hulett (Pearland, TX), Pam and Bruce Schleifman (Selden, NY), the late Louise Bush, and Ronald Bush (Tucson, AZ); and great-granddaughter to Bernice Bush (Raleigh, NC). Sophia is a 7th grader at Lanier Middle School, where she is on the speech and debate team and the swim team. For her Mitzvah project, Sophia assembled and decorated Shabbat Boxes for those observing the holiday in local hospitals. She is participating in the Rabbi’s 10% plan and will donate a portion of her monetary gifts to happypea.org, a Houston non-profit organization that supports and improves teen mental health.
