Join us this Shabbat Renewal as we celebrate JDAIM (Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month) with guest speaker Katie Scott, President of Care Partners Texas.  Care Partners provides support, education, resources, and respite to family caregivers and quality care to those individuals living with memory loss, Alzheimer's or dementia, and other challenges of aging.  One of their programs is Gathering Place, which Beth Yeshurun has hosted monthly for just over 11 years.  

The mission of JDAIM (Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month) is a unified initiative to raise disability awareness and support efforts to foster inclusion in Jewish communities worldwide.

More about our speaker: Katie Scott, MPH, is the president of CarePartners, an organization which focuses on providing resources, education, support and respite to family caregivers, and provides care to older adults with ADRD in the greater Houston area. CarePartners provides support through multiple channels including small group, large group, in-person, and virtual settings. This approach ensures they can meet individuals where they are and extend care into the community, not just in medical settings. Moreover, they maintain relationships with volunteers and community organizations to facilitate adult day programs.
