10:00 AM - 11:30 AMWillow Water GreenwayAt Tashlich we cast our "sins" into the water to begin the new year. At "Reverse Tashlich" we clean up what others have cast away. Join us at Willow Water Hole Greenway for breakfast and a mitzvah - cleaning up at one of our local, hidden green spots.
Tucked away in the southwest Houston neighborhood of Westbury just south of Meyerland is a stunning gem of nature still relatively unknown to Houstonians. Willow Waterhole Greenway is a 300-plus-acre network of lakes, prairie, marsh, islands, native plants, wildlife, and park amenities. This unusual urban setting is designed to protect against Houston’s inevitable flooding and to bring the community together for conservation, education, and recreation.
At 10:00am we will meet for bagels & coffee, then at 10:30am we will pair up and head out to clean up around the area. Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes; bring gloves; and if you have a picker-upper for trash, bring that too!
We will meet at 11350 Ricecrest, 77035.
This event for Young Professionals is open to the community - please share! There is no cost, but please register to join us so we have breakfast and supplies for everyone!
