HIGH HOLY DAY APPEAL 2025 | 5786

Shanah Tovah!

As we approach the High Holidays, we open our hearts to reflection, gratitude, and hope for a sweet new year. This sacred season calls us to look inward and reach outward—to care for one another and strengthen the community we call home.

Listening to your feedback, we’ve streamlined our fundraising efforts this year to focus on two primary campaigns: the High Holy Day Appeal and our Annual Spring Fundraiser. This approach simplifies giving while allowing us to maintain the high quality programs and services you expect.

To those who are members of the Tzedakah Society (a gift of $1,800+) and to all who supported the High Holy Day Appeal in years past, thank you! Your generosity has shaped the heart of Beth Yeshurun. You’ve helped us welcome new families, teach our children, comfort the grieving, celebrate simchas, and create space for Jewish life to thrive. You are the foundation on which we are built.

Our High Holy Day fundraising goal for 2026 is $400,000. To help us reach this critical goal, we’re asking each of our generous members to consider increasing their High Holiday Appeal gift by 10% or more this year. Your continued generosity enables us to meet the increasing needs of our congregation and community while building on the strength of our 80-year history.

Beth Yeshurun is more than a synagogue. It is where we celebrate, mourn, learn, sing, support one another, come together as a community outside of our membership, and find strength and light during uncertain times. It is your Jewish village.

This year, please consider a gift to the High Holiday Appeal and help us sustain and grow this spiritual home for generations to come. Thank you!

May we find peace in Israel, the United States, and the world.

L’Shanah Tovah Tikateivu v’Teichateimu,
Rabbi Brian Strauss - The Susie and Scott Bender – Senior Rabbinic Chair
