Jewish faith leaders from Houston bring to life the stunning ceremonial objects in the exhibition Beauty and Ritual: Judaica from the Jewish Museum, New York. Hear their personal stories of experiences with similar objects adorning the Torah in the synagogue or those used in the home in connection with ritual celebrations, such as the Sabbath and Passover. A moderated discussion follows, exploring the real-world significance of Judaica.

This discussion and entry to the exhibition are included with general admission, which is free on Thursdays when the Museum is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The program takes place in Brown Auditorium Theater in the Law Building, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. The exhibition is on view in the Beck Building through September 18, 2022.
The Beth Yeshurun Sisterhood will be collaborating with JFS and The Celebration Company for the 9th annual Honey-less Honey Cake Project.
The Celebration Company provides life skills and meaningful employment to individuals with disabilities who, with joy and purpose, provide services and create products that celebrate the good life.
We will be assembling 500 bags of the Honey-less Honey Cake Mix and we are counting on 50 volunteers! Teenage volunteers welcome! We will provide community service hours.

Preschool-aged children often fall through the gap of social services addressing food insecurity. Kids' Meals Houston addresses the hunger and food insecurity for children ages 6 and under who are not only at a critical developmental stage but cannot access school-based free meal programs.
