This is the third year of our partnership with Reynolds Elementary School. Join us again as we collect enough toys for each child at Reynolds to have a new toy for Christmas.
Please bring an unwrapped toy appropriate for ages 5-11 and drop it off in the toy boxes: In the Bender Levy Lobby (by the synagogue entrance at the carpool lane), the Administrative Lobby (by the clergy offices), and In the BYDS School Lobby.

On Thursday, December 15th at 7:00pm ourYoung Professionals are invited to Festival of Zoo Lights. We will celebrate the Jewish Festival of Lights at Houston's premier holiday lights experience: Zoo Lights! After cocktails, light bites, and schmooze we will light the menorah and walk the zoo and marvel at the incredible light displays!
At 2:00pm on Sunday the 18th we will have our firstLow Sensory Hanukkah Event. Join us for a Hanukkah event for congregants of all ages with visual, auditory, or social sensitivities or disabilities. We will have all of the fun, food, crafts, and candle lighting of our bigger event, but in a more sensory-sensitive environment. We will also have an unplugged Hanukkah sing-a-long with Hailey Arnold, our Tot Shabbat song leader!
At 5:00pm that evening we have our Light up the Night Event. This is for congregants of all ages. Enjoy dinner with latkes and Hanukkah treats, as well as crafts for the kids and some special glow-in-the-dark activities! We will light the candles for the first night together with our clergy and then head out to the parking lot for our amazing fireworks show!
ALL of these events are on our website calendar and open for registration! Please register so we have food and fun for everyone.
