Rabbinic Candidate Visit: Nico Losorelli

We are excited to welcome Rabbinic Candidate Nico Losorelli to Beth Yeshurun during his weekend visit from Friday, January 24, through Sunday, January 26. Nico will deliver the sermon during Shabbat Renewal on Friday evening, give the D'var Torah in the Chapel and at the Museum Minyan on Saturday morning, and join us for the Kiddush luncheon afterward. On Sunday, Nico will visit with our Religious School students. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience his leadership and teaching style firsthand, and we encourage you to provide feedback afterward to help guide this important decision for our congregation. Holocaust Museum Houston presents Special Guest Speaker Amir Tibon

Join Holocaust Musuem Houston for a compelling talk by Amir Tibon, an award-winning Haaretz correspondent, as he shares the true story of how his family was rescued from Kibbutz Nahal Oz on October 7, 2023, by his father, a retired IDF general. Tibon, author of The Last Palestinian, has also served as a senior editor for Haaretz and lived in Washington, DC, as a foreign correspondent. We are raising funds for new white Torah covers for the High Holy Days! Our current covers are worn, and we're partnering once again with renowned artist Jeanette Kuvin Oren, who designed our beautiful hand-dyed velvet covers. Contributions at any level will help us purchase the new High Holy Day Torah covers.
